Description:	Effective speed management in work zones is a key concern for highway agencies. Highway agencies are increasingly incorporating the use of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications to help manage speeds in work zones. This web conference on September 16 from 2:30-4pm Eastern Time will provide an overview of a variety of ITS applications that have been used to manage speeds in work zones, and information on Illinois DOT's experience with the use of automated speed enforcement in work zones and the application of variable speed limits on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge project in Maryland/Virginia.
