Project - WASHINGTON: Right Size Parking

The Right Size Parking Project started in February 2011. The project will support policies that builds more livable communities with reduced parking in multifamily housing developments. The project team will assemble local information on multifamily residential parking demand and display it on a dynamic web site to guide parking supply and management decisions in the future. The program will also engage a diverse set of stakeholders, including developers, financiers and public-sector decision makers, to develop technical policy and guidelines that aim to overcome barriers to right sizing parking. The project will also incentivize jurisdictions and developers for actions to reduce parking supply or to manage the supply through a range of tools and programs.
