The Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI) has declined for two consecutive months and is at the lowest level in the last seven years. The TSI is down 1.2 percent in April from its March level. In the last nine months, the TSI has declined ten percent. The freight TSI consists of data from trucking, rail, inland waterways, pipelines, and air freight and measures month-to-month changes in the output of services supplied by the for-hire transportation industries. |
