The Freight Professional Development (FPD) program works with the academic community to promote needed changes in transportation planning and logistics degree programs. These changes are critical to ensuring the future availability of appropriately trained freight professionals. Many university-based freight transportation and related degree programs are listed below.

EISENHOWER Freight and Transportation Logistics Scholarship

  • 2009 EISENHOWER Freight and Transportation Logistics - The EISENHOWER Freight and Transportation Logistics Scholarship offers tuition assistance for transportation logistics courses or seminars at accredited institutions of higher education. The program is intended to improve knowledge and advance transportation workforce professional capacity in freight movement across all modes of transportation. Applicants must be employed by a state or local public-sector entity in the transportation field. Application deadline is June 12, 2009.
